The sacred Manimahesh Yatra 2026 continued on Sunday as thousands of devotees set out for the holy Manimahesh Lake and Kailash peak.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Bharmour, Ajay Kumar Singh, informed that by 6 PM on September 6, nearly 2,650 pilgrims had departed from Hadsar via the traditional foot route to Manimahesh.
To facilitate devotees, helicopter taxi services are also being operated. On Sunday, 56 flights were conducted between Bharmour and Gaurikund. Through these, 271 pilgrims traveled from Bharmour to Gaurikund, while about 268 pilgrims returned from Gaurikund to Bharmour, availing the air service during the yatra.
The SDM further stated that from Holi, via the Kalah foot route, 35 pilgrims had departed for Kailash Darshan by 4 PM. This alternate path also continues to witness steady movement of devotees towards the sacred destination.
The ongoing yatra reflects the deep faith and devotion of pilgrims, with both traditional foot routes and modern air services being utilized to reach the revered Manimahesh shrine.
