Gaggal (Kangra): Following the announcement of the new Kangra District Congress Committee executive by Rajya Sabha MP Anurag Sharma, senior vice president Kewal Chaudhary and district secretary Naresh Salaria were accorded a grand welcome at the office of APMC Chairman Nishu Mongra in Ichhi.
The felicitation ceremony saw enthusiastic participation from Congress workers, who greeted the leaders with garlands and cheers. Expressing gratitude, the newly appointed office bearers thanked Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, state Congress president Vinay Kumar, state in-charge Rajni Patil, and MP Anurag Sharma for reposing faith in them.
Both leaders pledged to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and ensure the party’s reach to every household. They also extended special thanks to APMC Chairman Nishu Mongra and HRTC Vice Chairman Ajay Verma for their support.
Addressing the gathering, Nishu Mongra said: “The Congress party has always honoured its workers. With the experience and dedication of the newly appointed leaders, the party will gain fresh strength in Kangra district.”
The event was attended by a large number of Congress workers and local leaders, including Amit Sharma (Deputy Pradhan, Ranitall), Rajesh Kumar (former Deputy Pradhan, Rajiana Khas), Rajiv Kumar (former Deputy Pradhan, Bhangwar), Rakesh Kumar (Ward Member, Ranitall), Ravindra Singh Jat (Congress leader & Jat Parishad president), Devinder Munna, and Sanjay Dhiman.
