As part of the state government’s special public dialogue initiative “Apna Parivar Sukhhi Parivar” aimed at uplifting extremely poor and BPL families, a program was organized in Gagwal by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Block Indora. MLA Malendra Rajan attended as the chief guest and held direct interactions with families from Denkwan, Lodwan, Gagwal, Bhadroa, Beli Mahanta, and Majra panchayats.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Rajan said that every needy person’s voice will become the government’s voice, and resolving the problems of poor and eligible families is the government’s priority. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is working sensitively for the economic and social upliftment of the underprivileged. Through initiatives like Apna Parivar Sukhhi Parivar, the government is identifying the real needs of eligible families and connecting them with welfare schemes according to their entitlement.
He stressed that only genuinely needy families should be included in the BPL list to ensure that benefits reach the rightful beneficiaries. Highlighting various welfare programs, he noted that the government is running schemes for poor families, women, children, farmers, and other vulnerable groups.
Rajan further said that spreading awareness about these schemes is a key objective of such dialogue programs. He urged beneficiaries to seek information from officials and avail themselves of facilities according to their eligibility.
During the program, officials from multiple departments explained the eligibility criteria and processes for accessing welfare schemes. BPL families also shared their problems and requirements directly with the MLA and officials. Rajan listened attentively and directed concerned officers to take necessary action as per rules and eligibility, stressing that the true purpose of government schemes is fulfilled only when benefits reach the last person in line.
