The Deshbhakt Sardar Ajit Singh Memorial Sabha (Panchpula, Dalhousie) will once again organize its annual Dangal Mela at the Panchpula Samadhi site on August 15, 2026.
This year’s wrestling competitions will be held in a round-robin league format, with attractive cash prizes and honors for winners:
- Emerging Star Champion – ₹4,100 (Winner), ₹3,100 (Runner-up)
- Dalhousie Kumar – ₹6,100 (Winner), ₹5,100 (Runner-up)
- Dalhousie Kesari – ₹8,100 (Winner), ₹7,100 (Runner-up)
- Dangal Shiromani 2026 – ₹12,000 cash + brass gurj (Winner), ₹10,000 cash (Runner-up)
The festivities will begin at 11:00 AM with Sabha officials offering floral tributes at Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Gandhi Chowk, followed by a procession carrying the Shakti Dhwaj to Maa Bankhandi Temple for prayers. The flag will then be brought to the wrestling arena, where competitions will commence at 2:00 PM, inaugurated by Dr. Sudhir Dhawan, Director of Dalhousie Hill Top School.
For the past 38 years, the Sabha has successfully organized this traditional wrestling fair, keeping alive the spirit of patriotism and local culture.
