Under the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) process for the Kangra Airport expansion project, compensation awards have been distributed to affected families in Sahoda Panchayat.
Project Coordinator (R&R) Ranjit Thakur informed that a total of 191 land-affected persons have been issued “PAF – Land Only” award notices. In addition, three shopkeepers and four project-displaced families are included in the compensation process.
For this R&R package, a sum of ₹19 crore has been sanctioned. The compensation amount will soon be transferred directly to the bank accounts of all beneficiaries.
Thakur further stated that the process ensures fair rehabilitation of those impacted by the expansion project, while investigations continue to identify and support all categories of affected persons.
