Former Forest and Youth Services & Sports Minister Rakesh Pathania addressed a press conference in Nurpur to highlight the current state of the Mother & Child Hospital. In a sharp attack on the state government, Pathania termed the situation a clear failure of the administration and its representatives.
He argued that during his tenure, the hospital building in Nurpur was completed, intended to benefit not only Nurpur but also Indora, Jawali, Fatehpur, and Chamba’s Bhatiyat region. However, he alleged that today the facility stands as nothing more than a “white elephant,” with negligible utility. Pathania questioned why the present government and its local leaders suddenly remembered the issue after four years, dismissing their recent actions as an “electoral stunt.”
