The Bharmaur Trade Association has initiated a public awareness campaign to uphold the cleanliness, beauty, and religious sanctity of Shiv Nagari Bharmaur. As part of the campaign, cleanliness message boards have been installed at key locations, especially around the historic Chaurasi Temple complex, urging locals, traders, and pilgrims from across India and abroad to maintain hygiene and protect the purity of these ancient temples.
Association President Mahinder Patyal emphasized that Bharmaur is not merely a town but a sacred heritage site of Devbhoomi Himachal. The Chaurasi Temple complex and other ancient shrines here are revered centers of faith for millions of devotees. He stated that it is the duty of every citizen and pilgrim to refrain from littering, dispose of waste only at designated places, and contribute to preserving the dignity and sanctity of religious sites.
Other office bearers — including Harisharan Sharma, Deshraj Sharma, Jaisi Ram Thakur, Azad Jaryal, Kalu Sharma, Sumit Thakur, Pawan Patyal, Tilak Sharma, Pyar Singh, Manoj Sharma, Sonu, Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Saniyal, Madan Saniyal, Virendra Sharma, Manoj Thakur, Nek Thakur, Karn Sharma, and Sanjay Thakur — highlighted that a clean environment not only enhances the experience of pilgrims but also strengthens Bharmaur’s historical and cultural identity. They expressed confidence that with collective responsibility, Bharmaur can emerge as one of the cleanest and most exemplary religious tourism destinations in the country.
The Trade Association has appealed to all local residents, traders, hotel and dhaba owners, as well as devotees visiting during the Manimahesh Yatra, to actively support this public campaign. The association concluded with the pledge:
“Clean Bharmaur, Sacred Bharmaur” — a vision achievable only through collective participation.
