Continuing their campaign against drug trafficking, Nurpur Police have arrested two youths and recovered 17.46 grams of heroin (chitta) during a naka operation near Bain Indorian on the Kathgarh–Indora road.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team set up a checkpoint and stopped a black Pulsar motorcycle (registration number HP 97 A 8273). In the presence of independent witnesses, a search was conducted, leading to the recovery of heroin from the possession of the two riders. The motorcycle and the contraband were taken into custody.
The accused have been identified as:
- Sahil Kumar alias Labbi (25), son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Ward No. 3, VPO Indora, Police District Nurpur.
- Nitin Kumar alias Nannu (26), son of Balvinder, resident of Ward No. 3, VPO Indora, Police District Nurpur.
A case has been registered at Police Station Indora under FIR No. 102/2026, Sections 21, 25, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Both accused have been arrested, and further legal proceedings are underway.
Nurpur Police have initiated a detailed investigation to trace the wider network and other possible links connected to this case.
