SI Deva Nand Promoted to Inspector; Takes Charge as SHO of Fatehpur Police Station

Sub-Inspector (SI) Deva Nand, serving in Police District Nurpur, has been promoted to the rank of Inspector. To mark this special occasion, a dignified Piping Ceremony was held at the office of the Superintendent of Police, Nurpur.

During the ceremony, the SP Nurpur, SDPO Jawali, and staff members of the SP Office were present. Senior officers formally placed the Inspector’s stars on Deva Nand’s shoulders, officially conferring his new rank. Following his promotion, Inspector Deva Nand has been appointed as the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Fatehpur, where he has already assumed charge.

A Distinguished Career Honored Inspector Deva Nand joined the police department on May 11, 1992, and has rendered over 34 years of exemplary service. His career includes notable assignments in various key units of the department. He also served on deputation with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Chandigarh, and was posted with the 2nd Himachal Pradesh Armed Police Battalion, Sakoh. In addition, he contributed significantly to maintaining law and order across districts Chamba, Kangra, and Bilaspur.

After serving as Additional SHO at Police Station Nurpur since March 2026, he has now been entrusted with the command of Fatehpur Police Station as Inspector.

On this occasion, the SP Nurpur, SDPO Jawali, and staff members extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Inspector Deva Nand for continued success in his new role.
