Displaying swift and professional investigation, Nurpur Police cracked a blind murder case in Jawali within 24 hours and arrested the accused. For this outstanding achievement, Superintendent of Police (SP) Nurpur honored the police team with CC‑3 Commendation Certificates.
Incident Details: On June 24, 2026, between 1:00 and 1:10 PM, Subhash Chand (50), a resident of Mandol village in Tehsil Jawali, was brutally attacked with a sharp weapon in his cowshed by an unidentified assailant, leading to his death. Jawali Police immediately reached the spot upon receiving the information.
Investigation & Breakthrough: Given the gravity of the case, SP Nurpur and SDPO Jawali personally inspected the crime scene. Forensic and technical teams collected scientific evidence, and FIR No. 119/2026 was registered under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Jawali.
Through a well‑planned investigation, police arrested the accused, Rashpal Singh (22), son of Vikram Singh, resident of Mandol village, within 24 hours. The murder weapon, a sickle (darāt), was also recovered.
