The working style of Dalhousie Cantonment’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) J. Ashiq Hussain is receiving widespread appreciation from local residents, who commend his dedication to improving civic amenities and accelerating development projects in the cantonment area.
In a major step towards enhancing education facilities, CEO Hussain, along with nominated member Vinod Mahajan, held a high-level meeting with Member of Parliament (Kangra-Chamba constituency) Rajiv Bhardwaj.
The meeting focused on:
- Comprehensive improvement and modernization of educational infrastructure in Dalhousie Cantonment.
- Funding arrangements for the proposed school building under the Cantonment Board.
- Expediting pending educational projects through central schemes and the MPLAD (Member of Parliament Local Area Development) fund.
CEO Hussain and Vinod Mahajan urged the MP to extend his intervention and support for these initiatives.
MP Rajiv Bhardwaj listened attentively and assured full backing, emphasizing that education and healthcare remain top priorities for holistic regional development. He pledged to take immediate steps to secure necessary approvals and funding for the proposed reforms.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to work together for effective implementation of educational improvements.
It is noteworthy that Ashiq Hussain assumed charge only a few months ago, yet his proactive approach in strengthening civic facilities and development works has already won the admiration of Dalhousie Cantonment residents.
