A delegation of the Pensioners’ Welfare Association, Bharmour Unit submitted a memorandum to the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Bharmaur, highlighting various problems and demands of senior citizens and pensioners. The representatives urged the administration to take prompt action to address these concerns.

The memorandum called for the establishment of a dedicated Senior Citizens’ Hall in Bharmaur, where elderly residents could gather, engage in social activities, and spend time in mutual interaction. The association suggested that suitable space be provided within the SADA Complex for this purpose.

The delegation also demanded the opening of a local office for issuing birth, death, and marriage certificates, noting that people currently face significant inconvenience and extra expenses while traveling from remote areas to obtain these documents.

Another major demand was to increase the monthly medical allowance for retired employees from the current ₹400 to ₹2000, citing rising inflation and escalating medicine costs that have placed a heavy financial burden on senior citizens.

The memorandum further stressed the need for adequate facilities during the Manimahesh Yatra, including road maintenance, toilets, emergency services, and other essential infrastructure to ensure convenience for pilgrims and locals alike.

The association expressed confidence that the administration would consider these demands positively and take necessary steps to provide relief to the elderly population of the region.

Present on the occasion were Association President Dheeraj Thakur, General Secretary Krishna Thakur, Treasurer M.R. Patial, Senior Vice President Chain Singh Thakur, senior member Pyar Singh Chadak, Guddu, Dalip Singh, and other members.
