Prof. Nitika Kaushal, a distinguished academician and nursing educator, has been conferred with the prestigious “Outstanding Achievement Award 2026” in recognition of her remarkable contributions to education, research, academic excellence, and institutional leadership. This achievement has brought immense pride to both Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The award was presented during the International Conference on “AI Innovations in Health Care: Shaping the Future of Viksit Bharat 2047”, held at the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun. The conference witnessed participation from renowned academicians, researchers, scientists, healthcare professionals, and experts from across India and abroad.
Originally belonging to Balh, Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Nitika Kaushal is the daughter of Mrs. Taruna Kaushal and Mr. Mahesh Kaushal. Through her dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence, she has established a distinguished identity in the field of nursing education and research. After her marriage in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, she continued her academic journey and is presently serving as Professor at Narayan Swami College of Nursing, Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Dehradun.
Prof. Kaushal is widely recognized for her significant contributions to nursing education, research, student mentoring, and academic leadership. Under her guidance, numerous students have excelled in academics and research activities, while the institution has continued to progress in quality education and innovation.
Over the years, she has received several national and international recognitions, including the Global Women Icons Award, Swami Vivekananda Achievers Pride Award, Dev Bhoomi Rashtriya Ratan Puraskar, Bharat Shree Rashtriya Ratan Puraskar, Women Leadership in Healthcare Education Award, Best Teacher Award, and Women Inspiration Award.
A specialist in Child Health Nursing, Prof. Kaushal has carried out extensive research in areas such as adolescent health, maternal and child health, health education, lifestyle disorders, and community health. Her research papers have been published in various national and international journals. She has also actively participated in numerous workshops, conferences, faculty development programmes, and research training initiatives related to healthcare innovation, artificial intelligence, academic writing, and data analysis.
This latest recognition stands as a testament to her years of dedication, hard work, academic excellence, and commitment to advancing nursing education and healthcare research.
