The National Sports Competition organized by the United India Sports Federation, Tamil Nadu, was held in Dharamshala from June 5 to June 7, 2026. The closing ceremony was graced by Rajeev Bhardwaj as the chief guest and Sudhir Sharma as the special guest.
In the 55+ age category, athletes from the region delivered outstanding performances, winning multiple medals. Ramesh Muniyal clinched three gold medals in the 60‑meter race, 100‑meter race, and long jump events. Meanwhile, Sanjay Sauguni, Principal of Rose Public School, Suliali, secured silver medals in the same three competitions with his commendable performance.
The chief guests honored the winners with medals and extended best wishes for their bright future. They emphasized that sports not only foster physical and mental development but also instill discipline, confidence, and a healthy lifestyle.
