Gaggal Police rushed to Sahoda under Gaggal Police Station limits after receiving information about a major burglary in Ward No. 2. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at the residence of Vidya Dhiman, who lives in a mud house.

According to Vidya Dhiman, the thieves broke the lock of the main door, entered the house, and bolted the room from inside. Mistaking that her younger son was inside, she later discovered that the culprits had ransacked the room, scattered belongings across the roof, and carried a trunk outside. The trunk was broken open nearby, and jewellery along with cash was stolen before the thieves fled.

On receiving the complaint, Gaggal Police inspected the site, examining the broken trunk, locks, and surrounding evidence. Locals revealed that similar thefts had occurred in the panchayat earlier. Residents have demanded swift police action to arrest the culprits and ensure safety in the area.

Police have registered a case against unknown persons and are scanning CCTV footage from the vicinity to trace the suspects
