DAV Public School, Gohju, observed World Environment Day with great zeal, aiming to sensitize students about the importance of protecting and preserving nature.
The celebration featured a variety of engaging activities. Students participated in poster‑making, slogan‑writing, poem recitation, and awareness campaigns. The tiny tots of LKG and UKG recited poems and shared meaningful messages on keeping surroundings clean and green.
Students of Classes I to III showcased their creativity by preparing attractive planters and decorative items from used plastic bottles, promoting the message of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Their innovative work highlighted how waste materials can be transformed into useful products.
A thought‑provoking play titled “Save Plants to Save Earth” was presented by Class VI students, emphasizing the vital role of trees and plants in maintaining ecological balance and sustaining life.
On this occasion, the Principal motivated students to become responsible citizens by planting more trees, conserving natural resources, and adopting eco‑friendly habits in daily life. He reminded everyone to treat nature as our mother and contribute towards its protection.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to safeguard the environment and work together for a greener, cleaner, and healthier future.
