Paras Public School, Bhawarna, hosted a grand and inspiring oath-taking ceremony today, marking the formal induction of newly elected Student Council members. The campus resonated with discipline, enthusiasm, and the spirit of leadership.
The event was graced by chief guests Mr. Vikram Jamwal and retired Principal Mr. Ashok Rana. Director Mr. Mahesh Chandra Katoch, Director Mrs. Saroj Katoch, Principal Mrs. Neelam Rana, Mr. Dishant Katoch, and Mr. Ravindra Katoch were also present. Students from Classes V to XII attended the ceremony.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp before Goddess Saraswati’s idol. Teachers Ms. Vani Verma and Ms. Renu Sharma spoke on the significance of the Vedas. Students presented vibrant cultural performances, and the four school houses were renamed after the four Vedas.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal investiture of the newly elected leaders:
- Head Boy: Divyansh Dhiman
- Head Girl: Kritika
- Junior Head Boy: Ishant Kondal
- Junior Head Girl: Aparna
House Captains and Vice Captains were also appointed:
- Rigveda House: Captain Saniya, Vice Captain Kailash
- Yajurveda House: Captain Akshita, Vice Captain Vansh Chauhan
- Samaveda House: Captain Reet Raj, Vice Captain Nakshita
- Atharvaveda House: Captain Kanishka, Vice Captain Tanmay
Additionally, Ishant Goswami was chosen as Sports Captain. Each leader was honored with a badge and formally sworn in to uphold discipline, honesty, and dedication.
The chief guest inspired students with a call to patriotism, encouraging them to join the Indian Army and serve the nation. Principal Mrs. Neelam Rana, in her motivational address, said: “Leadership is not about position, but about service, responsibility, and ideals. A true leader guides others through their conduct.”
She urged students to move forward with confidence, discipline, unity, and a spirit of national service, calling these responsibilities the foundation of their bright future.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Mrs. Manuja. More than an oath-taking event, it was a memorable occasion that instilled the spirit of leadership among students.
