Continuing its relentless crackdown on narcotics, Nurpur Police has achieved another success. The CIA team of Nurpur Police arrested a woman during a raid and recovered heroin (chitta) from her possession.
Details: While on patrol today, the police received a tip-off that a woman was illegally selling narcotics from her residence. Acting swiftly, the team, accompanied by witnesses, raided the identified house.
Accused and Recovery: During the search, police recovered 12.46 grams of heroin from the possession of Paramjit alias Cheikho (wife of Resham Singh, aged 41 years), resident of Village & Post Office Channi, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra. She was taken into custody on the spot.
Legal Action: The accused has been arrested, and a case has been registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Damtal. Further investigation is underway.
