An Excellence in School Management Committee (SMC) ceremony was held at the BRCC office in Garola on Friday, celebrating outstanding primary school committees across the region. Members from various schools participated in the event.
Block Elementary Education Officer Indu Bala attended as chief guest, while RP Ashok Kumar and Shyam Lal addressed the gathering, offering detailed insights into the rights and responsibilities of SMC members and highlighting their role in effective school governance.
During the ceremony, Govt Primary School Gureth was declared the top-performing SMC for the second consecutive year. Govt Primary School Opan secured second place, followed by Govt Primary School Sunkar in third.
The chief guest honored teachers and SMC members from the winning schools with cash prizes and mementos.
Notable attendees included Deepak Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Vipin Kumar, Anita Devi, Deepa Ram, and Geeta Devi. Special guests Kamlesh Devi and Raj Kumar also graced the occasion.
