Under the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking, teams of Nurpur Police have registered two separate cases under the NDPS Act, recovering heroin and charas, and arresting four accused.
First Case – Police Station Raithan
During patrolling and checking near Dehri College, the police team intercepted two suspicious individuals. On searching them, 1.82 grams of heroin/chitta was recovered.
Arrested Accused:
- Ashish alias Brown Munda, son of Gyan Chand, resident of VPO Kandaur, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra (HP), age 30.
- Kannu Sagar, son of Sandeep Kumar, resident of VPO Kandaur, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra (HP), age 22.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Raithan, and further investigation is underway.
Second Case – Police Station Indora
In another incident, the police team from Indora, while patrolling in Indpur, searched two suspicious persons and recovered 90 grams of charas from their possession.
Arrested Accused:
- Farukh Khan, son of Mahamdu, resident of Village Chachool, PO Sanwal, Tehsil Churah, Police Station Tissa, District Chamba, age 23.
- Parvez, son of Shamshadin, resident of Village Chachool, PO Sanwal, Tehsil Churah, Police Station Tissa, District Chamba, age 22.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Indora, and investigation is in progress.
Nurpur Police reaffirm that strict action against drug traffickers will continue and appeal to the public to share any information related to drug activities with the police.
