On January 20, 2026, the monthly NCORD (Narcotics Control Coordination Committee) meeting was convened at the office of the Superintendent of Police, Nurpur. The meeting was chaired by Superintendent of Police, Nurpur District, Mr. Kulbhushan Verma, and attended by the Additional Superintendent of Police Nurpur, Additional Superintendent of Police ANTF Kangra, SDMs of Nurpur, Indora, and Jawali, along with SDPOs of Nurpur and Jawali, and other members of the anti-narcotics committees.
During the session, a detailed review of the monthly activities of the anti-narcotics committee was carried out. The chairperson emphasized:
- Organizing awareness programs regularly in educational institutions and at the panchayat level, with detailed reports to be shared.
- Conducting routine inspections of rehabilitation centers within Nurpur Police District.
- Ensuring strict compliance with prescribed norms and standards through coordination among departments and agencies.
- Comprehensive review of rehabilitation, counseling, medical care, and record-keeping processes.
Additionally, directions were issued to concerned departments to establish effective coordination and take strong legal action against offenders involved in drug-related crimes.
