Dalhousie Cantt witnessed a devotional celebration today as renowned bhajan singer Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Banikhet in district Chamba, released his new bhajan “Mata Bhalei Baliyae Meri Laaj Bacha Lena” on YouTube.
The release ceremony was graced by Subhash Mahajan, senior journalist and Chairman of the social organization Beautiful and Green Dalhousie, who attended as the chief guest and formally launched the bhajan by pressing the release button. Dr. Pallavi Sagar from Dalhousie Cantt Hospital joined as the special guest.
On their arrival, Ramesh Kumar welcomed both dignitaries with floral bouquets and offered them Mata’s chunri as a mark of respect. In his address, chief guest Subhash Mahajan congratulated the singer and praised the devotional composition, expressing confidence that it would reach and inspire a wide audience.
Ramesh Kumar mesmerized the gathering by performing the bhajan live. Known not only as a bhajan singer but also as a folk and Pahari vocalist, he has previously released several devotional and folk songs on YouTube. His wife Saroj, an ASHA worker and singer herself, has collaborated with him on many songs.
Professionally, Ramesh Kumar serves as a Laboratory Technician at the Dalhousie Cantonment Board Hospital. He dedicated his success to the blessings of his late father Prithi Chand and mother Krishna Devi.
The ceremony was attended by several prominent figures of Dalhousie Cantt, including Pandit Aman Sharma, Anil Mahajan, Advocate Chandrashekhar, Pradeep Sharma, Ranjit Suryavanshi, Ravi Kumar, Achal Kumar, Usha Kumari, Anjana Kumari, and Anju, among others.
