In a decisive move against illegal mining activities, Nurpur Police carried out swift operations leading to the seizure of multiple vehicles and machinery from different areas of the district.
Acting on continuous surveillance and strict enforcement measures, the CIA‑1 Nurpur team conducted a raid near Chakki Khad, close to the Kandwal bridge, where four tippers and two JCB machines involved in unauthorized mining were impounded. Additionally, one tractor engaged in illegal mining was seized in the Dhangupir area under Dumtal Police Station.
Details of the Operation
On September 23, 2026, the CIA‑1 team was deployed for patrolling and monitoring illegal activities in the region. During the operation, unauthorized mining was detected at Chakki Khad. The police team immediately intervened, taking possession of the heavy machinery and vehicles being used for excavation.

Legal Action
The seized vehicles and machinery from Kandwal have been handed over to Kandwal Police Post for further legal proceedings under the relevant provisions of the law. Similarly, the tractor seized from Dhangupir is also undergoing due legal process. Challans and other statutory actions are being carried out in accordance with the Mining Act and related regulations.
