Police in Nurpur district have successfully arrested two accused in a theft case registered at Fatehpur Police Station.
The case (No. 125/25 dated December 29, 2025) was filed under Sections 331(4) and 305 BNS based on a complaint lodged by Suman Devi, wife of Ved Prakash, resident of Bhadvada village, Fatehpur, Kangra district. She reported that six brass utensils were stolen from her ancestral home and alleged that the theft was committed by her relative’s son, Hardeep Singh alias Meetu.
Following a thorough investigation and technical analysis, police arrested the wanted accused Hardeep Singh alias Meetu, son of Gagan Singh, resident of Bhadvada, along with another accused Prince Panjari, son of Malkit Singh, resident of Hara village, Fatehpur. Both were apprehended from Fatehpur on December 31, 2025.
Officials confirmed that further proceedings in the case are being carried out as per legal norms.
The Nurpur Police have appealed to the public to promptly report any suspicious activities in their areas to help prevent such incidents in the future.
