Leads ritual as new idol installed at Sheetla Mata temple in Kangra

A new idol was ceremoniously installed at Mata Sheetla Devi Temple in Gujrehra early Tuesday (November 18, 2025) morning during the sacred Brahma Muhurta. The ritual began at 4 am, with the temple complex resonating with Vedic chants and an atmosphere filled with devotion and spiritual energy.
Gopalpur is an area located near Palampur town in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The special installation ceremony was held at the Art of Living Ashram in Gujrehra, where spiritual leader and Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar performed the puja and led the sacred procedures.
Later in the afternoon, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the ashram and joined Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in a special prayer. The CM described the ashram as a centre of profound spiritual vitality. During the interaction, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar expressed support for the state government’s campaign against drug abuse, telling the Chief Minister, “In the fight against drugs, we are with you.”
Devotees from the region began gathering at the temple from early morning, filling the surroundings with a sense of reverence, peace and positivity. Art of Living followers and local residents called the event a significant spiritual moment for the entire area.
