The District Disaster Management Department successfully launched the Youth Aapda Mitra Training Programme today at Yuva Aawas, Dalhousie. The initiative aims to equip local youth with essential skills for rapid response during emergencies and natural disasters.
Chief Guest’s Address
District Revenue Officer Vikramjeet Singh, who attended as chief guest, emphasized the importance of community-based disaster preparedness.
“Aapda Mitras are the strongest link in society during times of crisis. Their collaboration with the administration plays a vital role in safeguarding lives and property,” he said.
Training Modules Include:
- First Aid
- Search and Rescue Operations
- Firefighting Techniques
- Emergency Relief Management
📅 Programme Details
TCB Coordinator Sumit Gupta informed that the training will run from October 26 to November 1, 2025, with 41 volunteers actively participating.
🙌 Execution and Acknowledgment
The programme is being conducted by a team of expert trainers. The vote of thanks was delivered by the District Disaster Management Officer, acknowledging the enthusiasm of the youth and the support of local authorities.
