The released amount represents the second installment of the central share for the financial year 2026–27, issued ahead of schedule to accelerate disaster response.
Highlighting the Prime Minister’s special bond with Himachal, Sharma said the funds will play a crucial role in relief work, rehabilitation of affected families, and restoration of damaged infrastructure.
He urged the state government to utilize the assistance with complete transparency and impartiality, ensuring that aid reaches the ground level without political bias. He stressed that there must be no delay or negligence in relief efforts so that disaster-affected families receive timely support.
