Mandi— The spirit of youth and service came alive in Mandi today as the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) successfully organized the NaMo Yuva Marathon, part of the nationwide Seva Pakhwada celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. Over 250 young participants took part in the marathon, which began at 6:30 a.m. from Paddal Ground and passed through Bhiyuli and Purani Mandi before concluding at Seri Manch.

The event was inaugurated by BJP State General Secretary Payal Vaidya and District President Nihal Chand Sharma, who flagged off the marathon. Youth Morcha District President Yogesh Thakur led the program on the ground, while other party officials and volunteers were also present.

“Prime Minister Modi has devoted his life to the service of the nation and society. Youth must draw inspiration from his journey and dedicate themselves to nation-building,” said Payal Vaidya.

District BJP President Nihal Chand Sharma highlighted the broader significance of the event: “Seva Pakhwada programs are being organized across the country to promote service, awareness, and social engagement. The youth of Mandi have enthusiastically joined this marathon, demonstrating both energy and respect for the Prime Minister’s vision.” He also noted that recently, 84 young people donated blood as part of the ongoing service activities.

BJYM State Spokesperson Chandan Pandit said the marathon aimed to connect young people with the spirit of service, patriotism, and fitness in celebration of the Prime Minister’s birthday.

In the competition, national athlete Chaman Thakur secured first place, Mohit Sharma was second, and Ankit Kumar came third. Special recognition went to Kanika, a young participant who inspired fellow runners with her spirited performance. Winners were felicitated with awards and honors in the presence of dignitaries, coaches, and volunteers.
