Shivank wins silver, Navya bronze; school and state celebrate proud achievement

Two athletes from DAV Public School, Tiara in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh have made their school and nation proud by winning medals at an international Taekwondo championship held in Pokhara, Nepal.
Shivank, a student of Class 8, clinched the silver medal, while Navya, a Class 6 student, secured the bronze, showcasing their strength, skill, and determination on an international stage.
The students were trained under the expert guidance of Taekwondo coach Vijay Dogra and supported by teachers Kulbhushan and Shammi, who played a crucial role in preparing the young champions for the global platform. Their collective efforts helped the students achieve this remarkable feat.
The school’s leadership, including Chairman Justice Pritam Pal (retd), Regional Officer Bikram Singh, Manager Dr Rashmi Jamwal and Principal Ekta Attari, congratulated the students on their outstanding performance. They wished them continued success and encouraged them to keep aiming higher in their sporting journey.
“This achievement not only brings honor to our school but also inspires other students to pursue excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities,” said the Principal.
