HP Central University Student Council to host cultural extravaganza ‘Anukriti’ on May 20 at Dharamshala college

Dharamshala: The Student Council of Himachal Pradesh Central University in Dharamshala is set to organise a grand cultural programme titled “Anukriti” on May 20 at the auditorium of the Government Degree College at Dharamshala.


The event will commence at 11 am, showcasing a vibrant array of performances by university students.
The participants will present traditional folk dances and songs from various Indian states, celebrating the diversity and rich cultural heritage of the nation.


The event will be graced by prominent dignitaries. Vice-Chancellor of HP Central University, Acharya Sat Prakash Bansal, will attend the event as the chief guest. Prof Nagesh Thakur, former national president of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), will be the guest of honour, while Colonel KKS Dadwal, president of the Himachal Pradesh State War Memorial Development Society, will be present as a special guest.


Hemraj, a member of the Student Council and University Court, informed that the ABVP has won 19 out of 20 seats in the university student elections. Under its leadership, the Student Council is spearheading the organisation of this grand event.


Leading up to the main event, various inter-campus competitions such as poster-making, speech contests, poetry recitation and youth parliament sessions were held. Hemraj stated that students across all campuses participated enthusiastically in these activities.
