Shimla: In an effort to address pending revenue cases, the state government organized revenue lok adalats across Himachal Pradesh on December 1 and 2. These courts successfully resolved 13,950 inheritance cases and 527 partition cases. Prior to this, lok adalats in October had dealt with 31,105 inheritance cases. The cumulative impact of these initiatives has seen the resolution of 45,055 inheritance cases through these courts.*
*A spokesperson for the state government stated that on December 1 and 2, revenue lok adalats were conducted at the tehsil level, addressing 13,950 pending inheritance cases and 527 partition cases. As of November 30, there were 21,212 pending inheritance cases and 28,470 partition cases in the state. With the recent lok adalats, 7,262 inheritance cases and 27,943 partition cases have been cleared in the state.*
*The spokesperson highlighted that Kangra district recorded the highest resolution with 3,839 inheritance cases, followed by Mandi with 2,190, and Shimla with 2,190 resolved cases. Hamirpur secured the third position, concluding 1,023 inheritance cases.*
