Rampur Bushahr: India ranks highest globally in road accident fatalities, and to bring change, students must become Safety Messengers and inspire others to follow traffic rules, said Dr. Suresh Sharma, Vice Chairperson of the Traffic and Transport Wing at Brahma Kumaris Headquarters, Mount Abu. Speaking at a workshop at Government Senior Secondary School, he emphasized that hard work and adherence to traffic rules are essential for success.
Dr. Sharma urged students to eliminate negativity and embrace positivity for better focus and academic excellence. He shared insights from his Ph.D. research, revealing that over 80% of students found Rajyoga meditation beneficial in enhancing peace, concentration, and spiritual growth, which are crucial for success.

Citing Sachin Tendulkar’s journey, he highlighted how determination and perseverance can lead to greatness, despite setbacks. He stressed that continuous effort and road safety awareness are vital for achieving life goals.
Dr. Sharma called on students to follow traffic rules at every step and encourage their peers to do the same. He urged them to become Safety Messengers, ensuring a safer India and Himachal Pradesh by promoting responsible driving habits among family and friends.
At the end of the workshop, students and teachers took a pledge to follow traffic regulations. Principal Yashpal Thakur encouraged students to implement Dr. Sharma’s advice immediately, thanking him for sharing valuable insights on safety and success.
BK Krishna, head of the Brahma Kumaris service center in Rampur, explained the meaning and significance of the ‘Om Shanti’ mantra, offering blessings for success. Dr. Sharma presented road safety literature to the principal and extended an invitation to visit Mount Abu.
A similar session was conducted at Nogli Senior Secondary School, where Dr. Sharma guided students on safe living practices and led them in a pledge to follow traffic rules. Principal Pushpanand expressed gratitude to Dr. Sharma and the Brahma Kumaris team, receiving safety literature and spiritual offerings.
