YouVAH, an NGO in Kangra, in collaboration with SOTTO-Himachal Pradesh successfully celebrated Organ Donation Month at Tanda Medical College at Kangra.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from members of the medical college, NSS volunteers, college interns and visitors. A key highlight was a stage play (street play) centred on the importance and social benefits of organ donation. The performance effectively raised awareness and promoted a positive attitude towards organ donation among the audience.
Prominent attendees included Dr Bhanu Awasthi, Principal of Tanda Medical College, along with Dr Naresh and Dr Ankesh. Students, faculty members and numerous community members also graced the event with their presence.
The contributions of all participating institutions and volunteers were acknowledged, highlighting the event’s success in fostering awareness and support for organ donation. The programme underscored the need for ongoing efforts to educate the public about this vital cause.
Special thanks were extended to the participants and the importance of continuous advocacy for organ donation was emphasised.
Among the attendees were YouVAH’s Kangra district president Rajat, vice-president Ritika and members Monica, Manchand, Sunny Dogra, Simran, Neha, Anshika, Anshul, Muskan, Meghna, Shagun Chandni, Rajat and Abhay, who played significant roles in the event’s success.
