Dharamshala: The anticipation is palpable as Punjab Kings gear up to clash with Chennai Super Kings in the 53rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season at the International Cricket Stadium at Dharamshala. With 22,000 spectators expected to fill the stands, the stage is set for an electrifying encounter.

Both teams are eyeing a crucial victory to bolster their chances of securing a spot in the playoffs. Under the leadership of Sam Curran, Punjab Kings will strive to outshine their opponents led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.

This match marks the 12th fixture to be hosted at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium in Dharamshala.

The atmosphere is charged with excitement as tickets for all sections of the stadium have been completely sold out. Spectators are eagerly awaiting the toss scheduled for 3 pm, followed by the commencement of the match at 3.30 pm. Gates will open at 12 noon to accommodate the influx of cricket enthusiasts.

To ensure the safety and security of all attendees, about 1,300 police and home guard personnel will be deployed for security and traffic management. Cutting-edge technology, including drones, will be utilised to monitor the crowd during the event.

In adherence to strict regulations, spectators have been prohibited from bringing water bottles, coins, rings or any objects that could potentially be hurled from a distance into the stadium. Shuttle buses will transport attendees from designated parking areas to the stadium premises.

As part of comprehensive traffic management measures, a one-way system will be implemented from 11 am onwards to facilitate smooth flow of vehicles as the influx of spectators increases.
