The monsoon has weakened once again in Himachal Pradesh. Light rain is anticipated on Sunday and Monday, following a sunny Saturday across most areas of the state. The recent rainfall has increased humidity levels. Forecasts predict rain in many regions from July 17 to 19.
Despite the decreased monsoon activity, 12 roads and six power transformers remain out of service. In Mandi district, five roads are still closed while four roads in Shimla and three in Kangra remained shut as of Saturday evening. Chamba district has five power transformers down and one is out of service in Mandi.
After several days, Shimla enjoyed a full day of sunshine on Saturday, with clear and sunny weather reported across other parts of the state as well. According to the Meteorological Centre in Shimla, the monsoon has weakened, with low activity expected over the next two to three days. Rain is forecasted to begin on the night of July 16, with unfavourable weather conditions anticipated across the state from July 17 to 19.
