Oshin Sharma

Shimla: A day after popular Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HAS) officer Oshin Sharma left social media abuzz with a cryptic Facebook post, she has finally been assigned a new posting in a significant administrative reshuffle by the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government.

Oshin, who was awaiting a fresh posting after her removal as Tehsildar of Sandhol, has been appointed as Assistant Secretary in the Department of Language, Art and Culture.

Oshin, who shared a thought-provoking message on her Facebook page — “संघर्षशील स्वतंत्रता ग़ुलामी से कहीं बेहतर है (Freedom of struggle is better than slavery)” — had sparked speculation among her followers regarding her professional future. The post, made in the wake of her unexpected removal, was widely interpreted as a subtle reflection on her recent career challenges, leaving many guessing whether it signaled dissatisfaction with her situation.

Oshin, a popular figure among civil service aspirants for her motivational content on social media, had been transferred from her post as Sandhol Tehsildar under controversial circumstances.
