The CSIR–Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT), Palampur, will mark National Technology Day on its campus on 28 May 2026 with a special programme highlighting India’s scientific progress.
The Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, and Vice President CSIR, Dr. Jitendra Singh, will grace the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General CSIR and Secretary DSIR, will be the Guest of Honour.
During his visit, Dr. Singh will interact with institute staff and students, deliver an address, and inaugurate two new research laboratories along with a newly established research farm at IHBT.
The event underscores CSIR-IHBT’s commitment to advancing scientific research and innovation in the Himalayan region, while fostering a culture of technology-driven development.
