To celebrate the completion of two years of the Himachal Pradesh Congress government, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced the launch of six new schemes during a massive rally to be held at Luhnu ground in Bilaspur on December 11.
The event, themed ‘Vyavastha Parivartan Se Atmanirbhar Himachal,’ is expected to draw over 30,000 attendees.
The Chief Minister, while reviewing the preparations for the rally, directed the district administration to ensure seamless arrangements, including traffic management, potable water, food and sanitation facilities, to avoid inconvenience to attendees.
The six schemes to be launched include:
- E-taxi initiative under the Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Swarozgar Yojana.
- Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana for financial aid to children of widows pursuing higher education.
- HP Shiva Project focusing on agricultural transformation.
- Him Bhog Atta, aimed at improving food security.
- Cow Dung Purchase Scheme to promote organic farming.
- Financial transfers to farmers for maize procured by the state government.
Additionally, five Ayush Mobile Vans will be flagged off and beneficiaries of the Old Pension Scheme and Mukhya Mantri Sukh Ashray Yojana will receive their cheques. Freedom fighters will also be honoured during the celebration.All India Congress Committee general secretary Rajiv Shukla is expected to preside over as the chief guest. Ministers and senior officials, including Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil, DGP Atul Verma and ACS KK Pant, participated in the review meeting, with Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani joining virtually.
