India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025: All set for mother of all cricket clashes in Dubai

India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025:

The highly anticipated Group A match of the Champions Trophy 2025 between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is set to take place on Sunday (February 23, 2025) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The match is scheduled to begin at 2.30 pm IST, with live telecast available on Star Sports. Fans can also catch the live streaming on various websites.

India enters this crucial encounter on the back of a convincing 6-wicket victory over Bangladesh, achieved on February 20. In contrast, Pakistan suffered a setback in their tournament opener, losing by 60 runs to New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 19.

Victory crucial for Pakistan to stay in tournament

Today’s match is a must-win for Pakistan as they aim to keep their title defence alive. A loss would significantly jeopardise their chances of advancing to the semifinals.

If India secures victory against Pakistan and New Zealand defeats Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on February 24, Pakistan, led by Mohammad Rizwan, will be eliminated from semifinal contention, while India and New Zealand will progress to the knockout stage.

In a significant blow to Pakistan, star opener Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. He has been replaced by Imam-ul-Haq, who is expected to take the field today.

Meanwhile, India is likely to field an unchanged XI, although there is speculation about the potential inclusion of Varun Chakaravarthy in place of Kuldeep Yadav.
