Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns as Education Minister, Emphasizes Faith in Youth and Democracy

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has tendered his resignation, expressing deep faith in India’s democracy and the aspirations of its youth. In his statement, Pradhan said he has always respected the dreams and expectations of young people, describing them as the true architects of a developed India.

Reflecting on recent events that saddened him, Pradhan emphasized that his decision was not driven by personal prestige but by concern for the nation’s youth. “India’s youth are the real strength of this country. I will not allow them to be trapped in cycles of confusion — that is my firm resolve,” he wrote.

He stated that his resignation was submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after careful consideration, ensuring that no anti-national forces exploit the current situation and that students remain focused on their studies and careers.

Pradhan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister for his guidance and trust, as well as to his Cabinet colleagues, ministry officials, and all those with whom he had the privilege to work. “Service to the nation is my highest priority, and I will remain dedicated to it,” he affirmed.

Concluding his message, Pradhan invoked the blessings of Lord Jagannath and pledged to continue working for the aspirations of India, Odisha, and the country’s youth.
