Palampur
The meeting of the Zone School Sports Organization for Palampur and Sulah zones was successfully conducted at Government Senior Secondary School Dehan under the chairmanship of District School Sports Organization President and Deputy Director of Higher Education, Mrs. Kamlesh Kumari.
Principals, Headmasters, DPEs, and PETs from the concerned zones participated in the meeting, which was organized under the able leadership of the host school’s Principal, Mrs. Anju Lata Thakur.
Election of Office Bearers (2026–28)
The election process for the zonal executive committee was carried out, and the following members were unanimously selected:
Palampur Zone
- Principal, GSSS Ghuggar – Mr. Shiv Gupta
- Headmaster, GHS Tanda – Mr. Pawan Kumar
- DPE, GSSS Gwalatikkar – Mr. Ranjit Negi
- PET, GSSS Jia – Mr. Vikas
Sulah Zone
- Principal, GSSS Marhoon – Mr. Pradeep Dhiman
- Headmaster, GHS Thandol – Mrs. Rakhi Sharma
- DPE, GSSS Daroh – Mr. Ajay Sood
- PET, GSSS Punrhar – Mr. Vinod Kumar
Upcoming Sports Events
The venues for the Under-19 boys’ and girls’ sports competitions for 2026–27 were also finalized:
- Sulah Zone: Boys – GSSS Sulah; Girls – GSSS Dehan
- Palampur Zone: Boys – GSSS Chachian; Girls – GSSS Lahla
ADPO Mr. Atul Katoch highlighted the sports activities scheduled for 2025–26.
In her address, Mrs. Kamlesh Kumari extended best wishes for taking Kangra district to new heights in sports and congratulated the newly elected executive committee.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Mrs. Anju Lata Thakur, who assured that the upcoming Under-19 girls’ competitions at GSSS Dehan would be organized in an excellent manner.
