An unusual balloon was discovered near the Sheetla Mata temple below village Chaladi in Gram Panchayat Nagali, District Chamba. The balloon, colored white, black, and green, carried a string and bore inscriptions in English reading “PIA” along with Urdu text. It also displayed the symbol of the Pakistani flag.
Upon receiving information, Dalhousie police, led by DSP Dalhousie, reached the spot with other personnel and conducted an inspection. The statement of former village head Subhash Kumar was recorded at the site.
The matter was immediately reported to senior officials and the Army Headquarters at Dalhousie Cantonment. An army team also arrived at the location, inspected the balloon, and later took it along for further investigation.
Authorities are treating the incident with seriousness, and the balloon has been handed over to the army for detailed inquiry.
