Youths in Their 20s Start NGO for Food & Medical Assistance

Kangra: A group of young individuals in their 20s has come together to make a meaningful impact through Shridhar Foundation, an NGO dedicated to providing free food and medical assistance to those in need at Tanda Medical College, Kangra. Since its inception in September 2023, the foundation has become a beacon of hope for underprivileged patients and their families.

Founded by a team of committed youth, including Ashutosh Parwan (24), Paras Sharma (24), Anmol Aggarwal (24), Vishnu Kalra (27), and Rubal Gupta (28), the NGO runs entirely on donations. Despite the growing demand, they have not sought any official funding, relying instead on the generosity of well-wishers and their own dedication to service.

Every Sunday, Shridhar Foundation provides meals to over 400 individuals at the medical college, ensuring that those accompanying patients or struggling with financial hardships do not go hungry. Additionally, the organization extends medical assistance to those who cannot afford essential healthcare services, covering medicines, consultations, and other critical needs.

While Tanda Medical College remains the primary focus, the foundation has also extended its reach to nearby areas whenever resources allow. Their efforts have continued uninterrupted, reinforcing their commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare.

The success of Shridhar Foundation lies in its volunteers, who tirelessly coordinate food distribution and medical aid while inspiring others to contribute. Their dedication ensures smooth operations and the continuous expansion of services.

Looking ahead, the NGO plans to strengthen its outreach and involve more people in its mission. Contributions in the form of financial aid, food supplies, or medical resources are welcomed to help sustain and grow their efforts.
