Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania Inaugurates Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course at SSRB Kakira

Assures Introduction of M.Sc. Nursing Program Soon

Primary Health Center Kakira to be Upgraded to Community Health Center – Kuldeep Singh Pathania

Chamba : Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, inaugurated the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course at Swami Shri Rajeshwaranand Bharati (SSRB) Nursing Training Institute, Kakira, under the Swami Shri Harigiri Charitable Trust.

While addressing a public gathering at the event, Pathania praised the Swami Shri Harigiri Multi-Specialty Hospital for providing quality healthcare services. He highlighted that with the launch of the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing program, trainees holding a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma will now have the opportunity to pursue a two-year B.Sc. Nursing degree at the institute. He also noted that since 2023, the institution has been offering the standard B.Sc. Nursing program.

Acknowledging the institute’s request, Pathania assured that an M.Sc. Nursing program would be introduced in the near future. Expressing optimism, he stated that the institute is on track to establishing itself as a distinguished medical college in the coming years.

Additionally, Pathania assured locals that the Primary Health Center and Health & Wellness Center in Kakira would soon be upgraded to a Community Health Center. He also revealed plans to open a Skill University in the Bhatiyat region.

Commending the institute’s achievements, he noted that its dedication to training nurses with excellence and a strong social commitment has resulted in recruitment opportunities for its graduates in medical institutions nationwide. He emphasized that this not only enhances the institute’s reputation but also ensures 100% placement for its trainees.

Prior to Pathania’s speech, Principal Kanta Ajay Kumar of SSRB Nursing Training Institute delivered a welcome address and shared details of the institute’s accomplishments.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including SDM Paras Agarwal, DSP Yograj Chandel, Forest Division Officer Rajneesh Mahajan, Project Forest Division Officer Ram Paul, Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti Rakesh Thakur, Block Development Officer Anil Gurada, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sham Lal, and members of Swami Shri Harigiri Charitable Trust—Govind Bhai Ojha, Bharat Bhai, Ravi Bhai, Yashwant Bhai Modi, Omkar Singh Rathore, Sanjeev Vats, Manoj Vats, Devendra Raj Mahajan, Tarun Malhotra—along with institute trainees and distinguished local representatives.
