In connection with the Siya Guleria murder case from Nain village, Sarkaghat, the victim’s family met Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Kavinder Gupta, to press for timely and impartial justice. The family was accompanied by Atul Thakur, State Spokesperson of BYJM Himachal Pradesh, who presented their concerns before the Governor.
The family expressed disappointment over the limited progress in the case and urged:
- Constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT)
- Expeditious proceedings through a Fast-Track Court
- Fulfilment of the financial assistance reportedly assured to them
- Attention to alleged lapses in case handling
The Governor assured the family of all possible support and stated that the matter would be taken forward at the appropriate level.
Speaking on the issue, Atul Thakur said:
“This is not merely about a case—it is about a family’s pursuit of justice. We will continue to stand with the family and extend every possible support until the matter reaches its rightful conclusion through due process.”
The family expressed hope that the meeting would help accelerate proceedings and contribute towards ensuring justice.
