Rajput Mahasabha Himachal Pradesh thanks government for inclusion in newly formed welfare board

The Rajput Mahasabha Himachal Pradesh has expressed deep satisfaction and heartfelt gratitude to the state government for including 10 office bearers of the Mahasabha in the newly constituted Rajput Welfare Board, Himachal Pradesh, through a notification issued on December 30.

The Mahasabha stated that this decision reflects the government’s sensitivity towards the Rajput community and marks an important step towards social harmony, participation, and welfare. It further noted that the move fulfills a long-standing expectation of the community by providing a strong platform for representation.

Members Included in the Welfare Board

  • Kangra District: Kuldeep Thakur (Patron-in-Chief), Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Saryal (Former Vice-Chancellor, Agriculture University Palampur), Major General (Retd.) Dharmveer Singh Rana (President, Ex-Servicemen Wing), Vinod Patial (President, Nagrota Bagwan Subdivision)
  • Mandi District: E.K.S. Jamwal (President), Raja Thakur (Vice President), Haim Singh Thakur (Additional General Secretary)
  • Bilaspur District: Vijay Thakur (General Secretary)
  • Hamirpur District: E.D.S. Dattwal (Vice President)
  • Sirmaur District: Advocate Surender Thakur (Vice President)
  • Shimla District: Anil Thakur

On this occasion, the Mahasabha extended special thanks to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, expressing confidence that through the Rajput Welfare Board, issues related to education, society, economy, and welfare of the community will be effectively addressed.

The Mahasabha also clarified that the board members will work with dedication, transparency, and social responsibility, ensuring that the interests of the Rajput community are strongly represented before the government. The tenure of the board members will be three years.

Calling the decision a historic initiative for the empowerment of the community, the Rajput Mahasabha Himachal Pradesh reiterated its commitment to positive and constructive cooperation with the government.
