A review meeting was organised at the district headquarters in Chamba under the Good Governance Week to assess the progress of the “Administration Towards Villages” campaign. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal.
During the session, the DC reviewed the timely and effective resolution of complaints received through the CM Helpline, the progress of departmental services, and the activities carried out during the campaign period. He emphasized that all complaints registered on the CM Helpline must be resolved within 28 days, as per the provisions. Departments were directed to close the maximum number of complaints during Good Governance Week to strengthen the process and build greater public trust.
Special instructions were issued to prioritize pending complaints related to the Forest Department in Pangi and Chamba regions. The DC highlighted that from December 19 to 25, special camps are being held across various subdivisions of Chamba district under the campaign, where public grievances are addressed on the spot and information about government welfare schemes is disseminated.
Continuing the programme, a district‑level workshop on December 23 discussed strengthening service delivery systems, ensuring quick resolution of public issues, and fostering better coordination between the administration and citizens.
Departments including Panchayati Raj, Urban Development, Women and Child Development, Jal Shakti, Public Works, Electricity Board, Education, and Health were instructed to resolve maximum complaints by December 26 to effectively implement the objectives of good governance.
The DC also directed that physical complaints received in offices be uploaded to the CM Helpline portal to simplify tracking and ensure timely action. He asked officials to review the portal daily so that complaints do not remain pending unnecessarily.

Concluding the meeting, DC Repaswal urged all departments to work with coordination, sensitivity, and timeliness to achieve the goals of good governance.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate Amit Mehra, Assistant Commissioner Aparajita Chandel, SDMs Priyanshu Khati and Chandravir Singh, Deputy Director Agriculture Bhupendra Singh, Horticulture Officer Pramod Shah, along with officers from various departments.
