Tourists and locals were left astonished as Dalhousie witnessed unexpected snowfall in June, a rare weather event that turned the hill station into a winter wonderland.

Snowfall on the Dalhousie–Lakkadmandi–Khajjiar road caused traffic to remain blocked for nearly two hours, with several tourist vehicles stuck in the jam.

The Public Works Department (PWD) Dalhousie division swiftly deployed JCB machines to clear the route, restoring traffic movement and preventing further inconvenience.

Visitors expressed delight at the surprise snowfall, calling themselves “fortunate” to witness snow in the peak of summer. Many captured the moment as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, adding to Dalhousie’s charm as a premier tourist destination.
