The Mathematics Department of Government Arya Degree College, Nurpur organized a vibrant poster-making competition on the theme “Legends of Logic: Contributions of Renowned Mathematicians Towards Mathematics.”
The event aimed to bridge the gap between art and science while encouraging creativity and logical thinking among students. It was held under the guidance of Acting Principal Dr. Diljit Singh, with key support from Prof. Capt. Surjeet Kumar and Prof. Shiv Kumar. On this occasion, Dr. Manoj Kumar from the Chemistry Department also graced the event and appreciated the students’ talent.
Students enthusiastically participated, presenting beautifully designed charts that highlighted the contributions of great mathematicians. After a close contest, the results were announced:
- First Prize: Ashima & Muskan (B.Sc. 3rd Year)
- Second Prize: Palak Pathania (B.Sc. 2nd Year), Simran & Riya (B.Sc. 1st Year)
- Third Prize: Sejal (B.Sc. 2nd Year), Kashish & Simran (B.Sc. 1st Year)
Dr. Diljit Singh congratulated all winners and praised the Mathematics Department for its initiative, noting that such competitions play a vital role in students’ intellectual growth and in nurturing their hidden talents.
