Kangra district athletes delivered a stellar performance at the First Himachal Pradesh Tong-Il-Moo-Do Championship 2026-27, held on September 12–13 at Kisan Bhawan, Bilaspur. The team clinched an impressive 15 medals, including 6 gold, 7 silver, and 2 bronze.
District Kangra Tong-Il-Moo-Do Association General Secretary Anshuman Vashisth informed that 15 players from Ajay Martial Arts Academy, Nurpur, participated and secured medals across various weight categories.
In the girls’ division, Prisha, Simran, Ragini, Neha, and Mannat won gold medals with outstanding performances. Mridul, Kritika, and Pratibha bagged silver, while Nitika earned bronze. In the boys’ division, Anshuman won gold, while Vivaan, Samarjeet, Krishna, and Tanveer Singh claimed silver medals. Arav Gupta secured bronze.
The Kangra team was managed by Dimple Vashisth and coached by Neha, who guided the players to success.
Association leaders — District President Shri Lekh Raj, State President Shri Brij Lal Chauhan, and General Secretary Ajay Vashisth — congratulated all medal winners, coaches, and the team, wishing them a bright future.
